On 14 November 2025, an important working meeting was held in Orneta to discuss the organization of the World Championships of Ship Models — NAVIGA, Section “C” (World Championships of Ship Models Class C — Naviga Orneta 2027).

The meeting was attended by:
• Katarzyna Lasocka – Mayor of Orneta
• Andrzej Gierlof – Director of the Sports and Recreation Centre in Orneta
• Jarosław Leoniec (Jarek Ceinoel) – Vice-President of NAVIGA, the World Organization for Model Shipbuilding and Model Sports
• Agnieszka Lewandowska – Director of the Cultural Centre and Municipal Library in Orneta
• Staff of the Promotion Department of the Orneta Municipal Office

During the meeting, key organizational and logistical matters were discussed. This major international event will be both an extraordinary challenge and a remarkable opportunity to promote Orneta on the global stage!

We now know the official dates of the Championships 4–11 July 2027.

During these days Orneta will host world-class competitions along with numerous additional events — demonstrations, meetings, and attractions for residents and visitors.

It is truly exciting that our town will become the centre of world ship-modeling for the second time. Preparations are now in full swing — and we are already looking forward to this exceptional week!

Dnia 14 listopada 2025 r. odbyło się w Ornecie ważne spotkanie robocze poświęcone organizacji Mistrzostw Świata Modeli Statków i Okrętów NAVIGA – Sekcja „C” World Championships of Ship Models class C Naviga Orneta 2027.

   
W naradzie udział wzięli:

• Katarzyna Lasocka - Burmistrz Ornety,
• Andrzej Gierlof - Dyrektor Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji w Ornecie,
• Jarosław Leoniec Jarek Ceinoel – Wiceprezes NAVIGA, Światowej Organizacji Budowy Modeli Statków i Sportów Modelarskich,
• Agnieszka Lewandowska - Dyrektor Centrum Kultury i Biblioteka Miejska w Ornecie,
• Pracownicy Promocji Urzędu Miejskiego w Ornecie.

Podczas spotkania omówiono kluczowe kwestie organizacyjne oraz logistyczne. To ogromne wydarzenie o randze międzynarodowej będzie dla naszego miasta wyjątkowym wyzwaniem, ale także wielką szansą na promocję Ornety na świecie!   

Znamy już oficjalną datę Mistrzostw 4–11 lipca 2027 r.

W tych dniach w Ornecie odbędą się zawody mistrzowskie oraz liczne wydarzenia dodatkowe – pokazy, spotkania, atrakcje dla mieszkańców i gości.  

To niezwykle ekscytujące, że nasze miasto po raz drugi stanie się centrum światowego modelarstwa okrętowego. Przygotowania ruszają pełną parą – i już teraz nie możemy się doczekać tego wyjątkowego tygodnia!
